Course Structure¶
Before we start let me quickly tell you how the course is structured so get the most out of it.
There are 6 points which I think are necessary to talk before starting the course, so you get a pleasant learning experience.
-
One question I often get: Is the course still valid when ETH 2.0 comes? The answer is simply a yes! While some aspects of the Ethereum Blockchain might change, one thing does not change - that is Solidity and Smart Contracts. By doing this course, you will have all knowledge in place to be also a successful Ethereum 2.0 Blockchain Developer.
-
The course is now recorded for the 6th time. I tried to remake a lot of videos over the time, but some older ones are still relevant, so I kept them in the course. Since videos are hard to update, we also provide written and updated documentation to most - if not all - practical lectures on ethereum-blockchain-developer.com. You can get the most out of this course by watching the video then doing the hands-on part yourself.
-
If you truly want to know if you understand a topic, apply the Feynman Technique. Feynman was a famous and Novel Prize winning Physicist who had a 4 step plan to truly learn about anything: First learn it yourself, then try to explain it to others, if you get stuck somewhere, learn it better until, finally, you can explain it with analogies and simplifications. If you want to put your knowledge to test, head over to the course Q&A on Udemy or to our dedicated discord and try to answer questions other peers might have. Basically, teach others.
-
If you need help, on the other hand, we have dedicated teaching assistants to help out. While I have to admit, in Blockchain Development, you have to have a thicker skin and more resilience than in other programming languages, if you really get stuck after consulting google and stackoverflow, feel free to ask questions.
-
One last tip: If my videos are too long, too much babbling, feel free to use the video controls to watch them in 1.5x or even 2x the speed.
-
Also, subscribe to our educational updates, as I’m posting free mini-courses to specific topics - for example a full walk through of proxy contracts or NFT Secondary sales on our course website.
With that being said, I hope you enjoy the course. Feel free to add me on LinkedIn and I’ll see you in the next lecture.
